GTA 6 PS5 Controller: Both Limited Editions, Price and Where to Buy
Published · GTA 6 Insider
There are two official GTA 6 controllers: the Black and White Limited Edition DualSense controllers for PS5, each $84.99 in the US. Sony revealed them at its September 3, 2026 State of Play, pre-orders opened on September 10, and both ship on November 19, the day GTA 6 launches. There is no official GTA 6 Xbox controller and no official GTA 6 PS5 console bundle.
GTA 6 Controller: Price and Release Date
| Region | Price (either color) |
|---|---|
| United States | $84.99 |
| United Kingdom | £74.99 |
| Europe | €84.99 |
| Japan | ¥12,480 |
That is about $15 more than a standard DualSense. Pre-orders opened on September 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM local time in most regions (7:00 AM PT in the US), and both controllers release on November 19, 2026.
Black vs White: The Two Designs
- White Limited Edition: a white base with pastel accents inspired by Vice City in daylight, with beach, sky and sunset tones.
- Black Limited Edition: a darker design with neon-style details that represent Vice City's nightlife.
Both share a shimmering, color-shifting finish that blends sunset colors with neon, palm tree details molded into the shell, and official GTA VI branding. Underneath, they are the same DualSense, with haptic feedback, adaptive triggers and the built-in speaker. Choosing between them comes down to looks and availability.
Where to Buy the GTA 6 Controller
- White: PlayStation Direct and participating retailers worldwide, in limited quantities.
- Black: PlayStation Direct only, in countries where PlayStation Direct operates. That makes it the harder one to find.
Sony promised only "limited quantities", and by late October both were showing as unavailable on the US PlayStation Direct store at times. Stock tends to return in waves, so check PlayStation Direct and, for the White edition, major retailers regularly. Be wary of resellers asking far above $84.99.
Does the GTA 6 Controller Do Anything Special in the Game?
No. It is a cosmetic edition. GTA 6's DualSense features, including vibration and trigger effects listed on the PlayStation Store, work with any standard DualSense. You do not need the limited edition to get the full experience on PS5.
Is There a GTA 6 PS5 Bundle?
No official GTA 6 PS5 bundle has been announced. Unlike some big releases, GTA 6 has no Sony console bundle with the game included or a GTA-themed PS5. Any "GTA 6 PS5 bundle" you see at a store is a retailer putting a console and the game together, not an official product. Check the price against buying them separately.
The game itself costs $79.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition. See our GTA 6 price guide.
Is There a GTA 6 Xbox Controller?
Not as announced. The limited-edition controllers are a Sony and PlayStation product, and no GTA 6 Xbox Wireless Controller has been revealed. GTA 6 still launches on Xbox Series X|S on the same day; our GTA 6 platforms guide covers every console.
Can You Play GTA 6 With Keyboard and Mouse on Console?
Not confirmed. Neither the PlayStation nor Xbox store listings mention keyboard and mouse support for GTA 6, and Rockstar has not commented. If you want to play with a mouse, the PC version is the likely route, and it has no release date yet. See our GTA 6 PC release page.
