How to Be Ready the Moment the Timer Hits Zero
- Buy or pre-order before November 12: this lets the game download in advance. See our GTA 6 price guide for the editions.
- Clear space: the PS5 download is reported at about 210 GB. Use the storage checker in our GTA 6 file size guide.
- Turn on automatic downloads: keep your console in Rest Mode or Sleep so the pre-load finishes on its own.
- Check the date has not moved: our GTA 6 delay tracker covers any last-minute change.
Why Some Countdowns Show a Different Time
Many countdown sites count to a single moment, usually midnight Eastern Time or midnight UTC. That can be hours off for you. This timer counts to midnight in the time zone you select, which matches how console stores normally release big games. If you play on a console set to a different region than where you live, pick that region in the menu instead.
